Wednesday 3rd September 2014:
Today I LOVED experiencing the hot springs at dawn in the very Southern tip of Bolivia, by the Chillian boarder.
We woke up at 4:45am in the freezing cold mountians. I had slept in 3 jumpers, two pairs of trousers, inside a sleeping bag and a dovet!! It gets to minus figures in this part of Bolivia and there is not heating in most places, especially in the rural villages where we were staying.
The early rise was well worth it as we arrived at the hot springs at 6:30am and were able to bathe in 35 degree hot springs as the sun rose behind us, creating a magical scene all around us. It was an amazing experience and one I will never forget.
