How to commission a bespoke engagement ring ?

Diamond selection.
Diamonds are graded in 4 ways. Colour, Cut, Clarity and Carats.

We can offer GIA institute certificated diamonds and also specialist jewellery insurance if your engagement ring is of high value.

Selecting the right diamond for your engagement ring design and budget.
There is a lot of detail in the 4c's that grade a diamond, Diamonds at Dawn have highly experienced diamond knowledge and lots of tricks which can help to control your budget.
Cut of the Diamond
We will recommend a cut shape for the type of engagement ring you want to have
Size of the Diamond
Some weights are considered “magic sizes” – half carat, three-quarter carat, and carat. Visually, there’s little difference between a 0.99 carat diamond and one that weighs a full carat. But the price differences between the two can be significant. Small changes like this can all add up to significant savings when constructing your bespoke engagement ring and this where the experts at Diamonds at Dawn can guide you.
Colour of the diamond
Many of the diamond colour distinctions are so subtle that they are invisible to the untrained eye; however, these distinctions make a very big difference in diamond quality and price. Again we can advise you on the right colour for your budget.
Diamond clarity
Many inclusions and blemishes are too small to be seen by anyone other than a trained diamond grader. To the naked eye, a VS1 and an SI2 diamond may look exactly the same, but these diamonds are quite different in terms of overall quality and therefore price. So if your design requires a larger diamond we may recommend using a lower grade diamond so the price doesn't sky rocket.
